Paul Hester, 1992. Market Square Park, Houston.

"The seat bakc are studded with eighty-six enamel photo tiles created by Paul Hester. These tiles are etched with high resolution images created from combining archival photographs and Hester's own documentary photos of the area, creating a poetic and literal picture of Houston's pas and present. The new and old images are often juxtaposed to make pointed references to the massive destruction of Houston's past through the demolition of most of its historic buildings."
