Ceramic Tile Benches and Fountains

Malou Flato, 1992. Market Square Park, Houston.

"Malou Flato's handpainted, ceramic tile benches, each pair forming a twenty-eight foot tile arc, are placed on the park's perimeter with seating facing both the street and the park interior. Flato's vivid, impressionistic scenes of the market place reference the original market held on the grounds of City Hall and create permanent gardens of color in the park."
