Limestone sculptures on the facade of the Los Angeles Times building by Robert Merrell Gage, 1935. 1st Street between Spring and Broadway. Architects: Gordon B. Kaufmann, 1931-1935; Rowland H. Crawford, 1948 (10 story addition on the northwest corner of South Spring Street and West 3rd Street - this addition includes sculptures done by the Harry D. Donato Company and Ivan L. Adams of Bloomington, Indiana); William L. Pereira, 1970-1973 (6 story addition to the west of the original building).

In addition there are external sculptures at the very top of the building 1948 portion of the building designed by Rowland H. Crawford. The sculptures, representing Culture, Justice, Faith, Progress, and Equality, were done by the Harry D. Donato Company and Ivan L. Adams of Bloomington, Indiana:
