Union Station (Los Angeles), east lobby. Designed for a project called City of Dreams, River of History, which was conceived in collaboration with Richard Wyatt and Paul Diez. The sculpture includes chinese crockery, bottles, and other artifacts, discovered during excavations around Union Station. The artifacts refer to the original Chinatown, which was displaced by the building of Union Station. The "river" is clad in rocks from the Los Angeles River and Tujunga Creek. Image courtesy of MTA.
