2000. Wilshire west of Westwood Blvd. Behind Lady Liberty is the text of the Declaration of Independence. Earlier in the year, McNeilly partly finished a mural of Lady Liberty with a tear on her cheek in this location. For controversy over the mural see several articles in the Los Angeles Times, notably:
- "Muralist's arrest", LAT, June 4, 2000, p. 4
- "Ruling Will Allow Trial of Artist Over Building Mural", LAT, May 18, 2000, p. 5
