Variety Arts Center, Olympic and Flower. In the late 19th, early 20th century, the building now housing the Variety Arts Center was the meeting place of the Friday Morning Club, which was organized by Caroline Severance to change the life of women through social and political means (see Cecilia Rasmussen, "L.
