Judithe Hernandez (1948- ) was born and raised in Los Angeles. She attended Otis Art Institute where she received her B.A. in 1972 and M.F.A. in 1974. Among the 12 murals she completed during the 1960s and 1970s, are works at Ramona Gardens Housing Project and Stone Recreation Center. Her studio work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions at museums in the United States and Europe, including the San Francisco Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, Spain. Currently, she is a studio artist living in Chicago.
