Eugene Sturman

Biographical Information

Eugene Sturman (1945 - ) was born in New York City. He received his B.F.A. degree from Alfred University, his M.A. from the University of New Mexico and later studied printing at the Tamarind Lithography workshop. Sturman taught at Long Beach State University and UCLA. His work has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Sturman executed doors for the Palos Verdes Community Arts Center and an outdoor sculpture piece for the Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design when the institution was located across from MacArthur Park.
