Tony Sheets (1942- ), was born in Upland, California. He apprenticed with S. David Underwood, AIA, Walt Disney, and sculptors Albert Stewart and Tom Van Sant. Sheets has executed 23 public art commissions to date, including several in downtown. In addition to the panels on the Los Angeles Times Garage and the Broadway-Spring Center, he executed a concrete mural inside the World Trade Center and a tribute to the Issei in Little Tokyo.
