Thomas P. White, 1888-1968, Supreme Court Justice. From city police court and at every judicial level to justice of the Supreme Court of the State of California, he faithfully served all the people of this state with integrity, understanding and wisdom. He was born, lived, educated, and died within a mile of this courthouse. Always he dedicated his life to serving the people of California.


Eugene Warren Biscailuz, 1883-1969, Sheriff County of Los Angeles 1932-1958. Sheriff "Gene" Biscailuz, who was born in Los Angeles, had served as a law enforcement officer for fifty-one years and was known throughout California as an honest and dedicated lawman. he performed his duties with strength and vision. When Gene retired in 1958, he was honored with the title of Sheriff Emeritus by the Board of Supervisors.
